Risk Advisory Senior

The successful candidate will assist in the areas of risk assessment, process improvement, control evaluation, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. The successful candidate will assist in the areas of risk assessment, process improvement, control evaluation, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Candidates will be team players with excellent demonstrated work ethic and professional skills. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality professional day-to-day execution of internal audit/risk advisory engagements and special projects to clients
  • Work as part of the engagement team focusing on executing and documenting compliance or advisory projects
  • Assist the team in preparing internal audit reports
  • Serve a variety of clients within the public and private sectors

In addition, the candidate may also be asked to assist with other department initiatives related to innovation, knowledge sharing and analytics.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • BS in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent

Professional Requirements:

  • Has obtained or is aspiring towards professional certification (CPA, CIA or CISA)
  • Must have 2-5 years of internal/external audit experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Retail, Financial Institutions or Higher Education is considered a plus

Desired Skills/Experience:

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and audit methodologies
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley
  • Possess strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact directly with clients in a professional and confident manner
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
